Hiroshima

1. Look through http://www.lclark.edu/~history/HIROSHIMA/list1.html. Find and post a picture of Hiroshima before the bombing and describe what you see/feel. (picture + 4 thoughtful sentences = 5 points)

In this picture I have a picture of how it looked before the damage. It looks all stable without nothing destroyed. Also there are people alive with children going to school like a ordinary day. I also can't believe that they were just ordinary people and they got killed.

2. Look through http://www.atomicarchive.com/Photos/Hiroshima/index.shtml. Find and post a picture of Hiroshima after the bombing and describe what you see/feel. (picture + 4 thoughtful sentences = 5 points) I can't believe how bad Hiroshima got destroyed . With debris all over the place and buildings destroyed. I also feel bad if there are any people under all that material crying for help. Since it was a hospital and there was buildings around there was people in there that could of gotten killed or injured. This picture some how reminds my of 9/11 too.

3. Look through http://fogonazos.blogspot.com/2007/02/hiroshima-pictures-they-didnt-want-us_05.html and post a picture of people suffering from the Hiroshima attack and describe what you see/feel. (picture + 4 thoughtful sentences = 5 points)

This picture really hits me because I could see the sadness in the woman's eyes. I also feel happy for the mother being with her child after the attack while others weren't that lucky to able to find there family members. Then the mother and her child look really hurt but I think that they don't even feel the burns but something worst inside. I also feel bad for the people that died and the animals like the horse in the picture.

4. Look through http://blackshipsandsamurai.com/GroundZeroColl2/. Find and post a picture that was DRAWN by a Hiroshima attack survivor and describe what you see/feel. (picture + 4 thoughtful sentences = 5 points)

I think that the Hiroshima attack survivor had bad flash backs while he was drawing what happened. I could see how everybody was dieing instantly with the flames . I also see how everything was burning down the buildings and its surrounding. I could also see how they were suffering the burns on their body. Although I wouldn't feel their suffering but I do feel bad and sad for those people. I also feel shocked seeing this picture because I never saw someone dye this way.

2nd assignment: Views on Abortion

1. What is your stance on abortion? Give three reasons why (this is your own thoughts). Explain clearly and use a lot of detail. - 5 pointsFor the next tasks, you need to look through BBC - Abortion

I think that abortion should be llegal for some reasons at this moment. It should be llegal because there are people today that get pregnant and they are not ready to be parents. Also there are people that are still going to find a way to do it if its illlegal. Maybe the woman got rape and she doesn't want to get reminded by the baby.

2. Copy/paste evidence that supports that supports your views. Make sure you use quotation marks (" ") because these are NOT your words. - 3 points

"The World Health Organisation estimates that approximately one-third of maternal deaths are due to complications arising from illegally induced abortions. Each year an estimated 20 million unsafe abortions are performed worldwide, 95% of these are performed in low-income countries."

"Before abortion was permitted in countries like the UK and USA, women still had abortions, but because abortion was a crime, they were carried out in secrecy, and very often by people with no, or inadequate, medical training. And even when carried out by doctors, they were rarely done with hospital back-up."

3. Explain the quote you chose for number 2 in your own words. You can explain it in the following ways: relate it to something that happened in your life or someone else's, explain why you agree with the statement, explain it to the reader with more detail in case the reader might not understand the quote, or give the reader a hypothetical situation in which the quote plays out. (Whichever why you decide to explain your quote, you should have at least 3 sentences to be thorough) - 6 points

The qoutes I choosed are related to what I wrote that people still find ways to do abortion which ends up to death. Such as in one qoute it says that 1/3 of maternal deaths are due from illegally induced abortions. It also says that 20 million unsafe abortions are preformed worldwide which is 95% are from low-income countries. So then there are complications that cause death to the woman and the baby. Also the other quote says that there are people that are not trained to did this and there is no hosoital back-up so then this is very unsafe for the woman.

3. What message does this picture present to you? Why?(2 complete sentences - 2 pnts)
The message that this picture presents to me is how now at days animals are treated like humans or even better. I think this because it was I have seen and this picture proves it to me.
4. Can you relate your life to this picture? Why or why not? (4 sentences - 4pnts)
I can't relate to this picture that much only one thing. Like I had a friend that would treat her dog like it was part of her family. Also I can't relate to this because I'd never seen this in my life and it kind looked like it was getting an ultra sound. Although then we were once monkeys so I can relate to it.
